We have launched a murder investigation following a stabbing in Broad Street, Swindon.
We were called to the street at around 9pm yesterday evening (11/07) after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed.
Sadly, despite the best work of the emergency services, the victim, a man in his 40s, later died in hospital.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
We have arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the incident and he is currently in police custody.
We are now appealing for witnesses.
