Officers were called to the disorder in the High Street shortly after 4am.
A man in his 20s sustained a facial injury during the disorder and was taken to the Great Western Hospital. His injuries are not life changing or life threatening.
Enquiries were carried out at the scene and a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of GBH. He is currently in custody at Gablecross for further questioning.
A cordon was put in place at the scene immediately after the incident while further enquiries were carried out. This has now been lifted.
Insp Steve Love said: “We’d urge anyone who witnessed the disorder who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch. Officers are continuing with their enquiries this morning, including gathering any available CCTV footage.”
