We are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle mounted the pavement and fatally injured a dog in Devizes.
The 4x4, which was pulling a trailer, knocked down the animal on a walk with it's owner, near Prison Bridge on Bath Road around 10.20am on Sunday November 6.
The driver did stop but did not leave any details.
The dog was taken to a vet but sadly died shortly after.
We respect that some time has passed, during which we have been investigating the incident.
We believe a motorcyclist stopped to help the dog’s owner, and we would particularly like to speak to them.
