The incident happened at approximately 9.30am on August 18. A group of men were reported to have attempted to force entry into an address in Fore Street and threatened the occupants with a knife.
One of the occupants – a man in his 40s – attempted to flee the group by jumping from a window, causing an injury to his pelvis in doing so.
Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident – last week, two men aged in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. They have since been released under investigation.
Today, a third man in his 30s was arrested. He remains in Melksham custody for questioning.
