We are appealing for witnesses after a bus driver was assaulted in Durrington.
The incident happened at approximately 10.15pm on March 22 in High Street.
A man and a woman were waiting at a bus stop when an X4 bus run by Salisbury Reds arrived.
The bus driver, a man in his 40s, was assaulted at the bus stop and suffered a head injury. He was taken to Southampton Hospital by air ambulance, however, his injuries were fortunately not as serious as initially thought.
A man aged in his 50s from Devizes was arrested on suspicion of two counts of criminal damage, racially/religiously aggravated harassment and section 18 GBH, and a woman in her 40s from Melksham was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and using threatening/abusive words or behaviour. Both have been released while enquiries are ongoing.
