A gross misconduct hearing was held at Wiltshire Police Headquarters on 24-26 February 2025 chaired by an independent Legally Qualified Chair.
The panel considered an allegation that on 23 April 2023, whilst off duty, the former police officer was involved in an assault, causing injury.
All allegations against the former police officer were dismissed and he was therefore found not to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for police officers of Authority, Respect and Courtesy and Discreditable Conduct.
Note: In order to protect the anonymity of the victim in this case, the Legally Qualified Chair made a decision to restrict the naming of the former officer involved.
In line with the Police Conduct regulations 2020, the former officer has a period of 10 working days to appeal the outcome.
