A Misconduct Hearing will commence on Monday 28 April 2025 at Wiltshire Police Headquarters, London Road, Devizes, Wiltshire under the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020 in relation to Wiltshire Police officer Police Constable A.
The hearing will consider the following allegations against PC A.
Allegation 1:
Despite being instructed on 6 February 2024 to submit a Notifiable Association form with respect to Mr X, she failed to do so.
Allegation 2
On 3 and 4 March 2024 PC A reported as unable to work by reason of sickness however she was not actually sick.
Allegation 3
Despite being instructed to cease contact with Mr X, on 6 February PC A continued being in contact with him and allowed him to reside/visit at her home address between the dates of 2 – 8 March 2024.
Allegation 4
During a video call with Mr X on 8 March 2024 he showed PC A a firearm in his possession, she told him to ‘get rid of it’ but took no further action such as reporting this intelligence to the police when she knew or should have known that his possession of the firearm was a criminal offence, she did not disclose this to her supervisor until 11 March 2024 when Mr X was arrested for a separate offence.
Allegation 5
On 9 March 2024 PC A was recorded by Police as a victim of kidnap which resulted in Mr X being arrested and bailed but she failed to report this.
Allegation 6
Despite PC A having been told to disassociate herself from Mr X between the dates of 14 March and 28 March 2024 she made numerous attempts to contact him whilst he was on Police bail and had a condition of not to contact PC A directly or indirectly.
It is alleged that PC A has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for Police Officers of:
