Twelve people arrested today as part of county lines week of action
Cash, drugs and weapons have been seized and 12 more people have been arrested today (22/01) as officers tackle county lines drugs gangs in Swindon. The raids have been carried out as part of Operation Samphire, a week of action targeting drug networks across the town.

More arrests as part of county lines operation yesterday including non-related offences
Officers conducting a series of drugs warrants in Swindon yesterday (21/01) also made an extra three non-related arrests. While out on Operation Samphire patrols and raids, officers stopped a vehicle in the High Street, Wroughton. The driver was found to be wanted for two counts of theft. Christopher Simpkins, 41, of no fixed address, was arrested and has since been charged with two counts of theft from a shop and possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.
Ten more people arrested today in county lines drugs raids in Swindon
We've arrested 10 more people today (21/01) as part of a series of raids cracking down on county lines drugs gangs. Officers from across the Force have been targeting those involved in the supply of class A drugs in Swindon over the past two days. Yesterday, seven people were arrested and more than £20,000 worth of class A drugs were seized during warrants at various locations across the town including Abbey Meads, Parks and the town centre.
Salisbury woman jailed for 13 weeks after breaching Community Protection Notice
A Salisbury woman with a long history of criminal offences has been jailed after pleading guilty to shoplifting and breaching a Community Protection Notice. Frances Pleydell-Bouverie, aged 46, of Anderson Road, appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court today (21/01).
Man who died following collision in Melksham named as Thomas Collis
A pedestrian who sadly died following a collision with a car in Melksham at the weekend has been named. Thomas Collis, 60, from Melksham, died from the injuries he sustained following the collision on the A350 Beanacre Road at approximately 6pm on Saturday 18 January.

Man, 75, jailed for historic child sex offences
A 75-year-old man has been jailed for eight years after he was found guilty of historic sexual assault and indecency with a child. Donald Chivers, of Keevil, near Trowbridge, was given a total sentence of 16 years following a trial at Salisbury Crown Court which ended on Monday January 20.
Drugs arrest after stop and search in Amesbury
A woman from South Wiltshire has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug following a stop and search of her car she was driving.
