From Monday 16 September to Sunday 29 September we are joining forces across the country in the national knife crime awareness campaign, Operation Sceptre. Op Sceptre logo

Op Sceptre was launched by Metropolitan Police in 2015 in response to knife crime and has been adopted nationally to raise awareness of knife crime, the risks and consequences of carrying a knife, and over all aims to reduce knife crime and the harm it causes to individuals, their families and the wider community.

During the two weeks we will be asking members of the public to bin the blades by dropping unwanted and illegal knives and bladed weapons into our amnesty bins across the county so we can dispose of them safely.
