We're asking for information following a robbery which occurred yesterday, Monday 22 July, in Salisbury.

Just before 9 pm the victim, a 74 year old local woman, was walking from Salisbury Train Station and passed a group of men who were stood by the exit.

Two men of the men followed her into Dews Road and grabbed her briefcase, causing her to fall to the floor,  she hit her head and sustained multiple bruises/grazes. 

The first man is described as white, with pale ginger/fair hair, average build, aged from early to mid 20's. He had a moustache and a beard. He was wearing a black or grey hoody with black or grey tight shorts.

The second man is described as white, thinner than the first man, and was in his 20's. He had shortish dark hair and was wearing jeans and a hoody.

The stolen briefcase is black leather and contained a purse with cash, bank cards, CD player, diary, pink pashmina, makeup and other items.

PC Lou Poole said: "The despicable actions of these men have left the victim shocked and injured. I'm positive that the community will want to help. 

"I urge anyone who has information to come forward and help identify those responsible. Enquiries with the railway and analysis of CCTV are ongoing and we are increasing patrols in the area."
