Mark joined Wiltshire Police in 1989 and was a Police Constable across Swindon and rural areas of the county for 13 years. In 2002 he was promoted to Sergeant and then to Inspector in 2007 - with both ranks involving operational roles.
Following a secondment to Swindon Borough Council, where Mark was responsible for the partnership delivery of anti-social behaviour reduction in Swindon, he was appointed to the role of Staff Officer supporting the Assistant Chief Constable.
In 2012 Mark was promoted to Chief Inspector and became Superintendent in 2014 - both of these roles were within Uniform Operations, before taking a Strategic Development role in which he managed a number of regional and local Force projects.
Mark is married with two daughters and has a dog called Stan.
