Almost 750 people arrested as part of UK-wide County Lines action
Figures released today (18/10), show that a total of 743 people were arrested during a national intensification week where police forces across the country targeted major drug gangs (7 - 13 October). In Wiltshire, approximately 50 officers were involved in Operation Jetway to tackle County Lines which saw a total of 63 people arrested across just five days. Detective Inspector Paul Franklin said: "We arrested a total of 63 people during our week-long campaign which not only shows the amount of drug gang activity going on in the county but also the concerted effort being made by Wiltshire Police to close these lines down.
Appeal to trace witnesses to robbery after man arrested
Officers investigating a robbery are appealing for witnesses to the incident to urgently come forward and speak to police. The incident happened at approximately 4am on Tuesday 27 August (the day after the Bank Holiday).

Charge authorised in connection with death of woman in Seend in 2016
Officers investigating the death of a woman in Seend back in 2016 have been authorised to charge a man in connection with the incident. Danielle Carr-Gomm, aged 71, died at Cleeve House, on October 20, 2016. The Crown Prosecution Service have now authorised a charge of gross negligence manslaughter against Hongchi Xiao, aged 56, whose registered address is in California.
Appeal after driver fails to stop for police in Trowbridge
We're appealing for information following an incident which occurred in Trowbridge at the weekend. At approximately 1.50pm on Saturday 12 October, officers stopped a vehicle on The Halve. As an officer approached the vehicle, it made off at speed in the direction of the town centre.
Three youths arrested following disorder in Warminster
Officers investigating a disorder in Warminster have today arrested three youths. On September 28, officers were called to Chapmanslade Village Hall after an 18-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his leg during a fight at a party. He was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
