  • Man who died following collision in Melksham named as Thomas Collis

    A pedestrian who sadly died following a collision with a car in Melksham at the weekend has been named. Thomas Collis, 60, from Melksham, died from the injuries he sustained following the collision on the A350 Beanacre Road at approximately 6pm on Saturday 18 January.

    Windows of a number of properties have been damaged in a series of what appears to be random attacks in the south west of the county.

  • Man, 75, jailed for historic child sex offences

    A 75-year-old man has been jailed for eight years after he was found guilty of historic sexual assault and indecency with a child. Donald Chivers, of Keevil, near Trowbridge, was given a total sentence of 16 years following a trial at Salisbury Crown Court which ended on Monday January 20.
