Burglary in Chippenham - jewellery stolen

We are investigating a burglary which occurred at a home in Chippenham where a number of items of jewellery were stolen.

The incident happened at an address in Stubbs Lane sometime between 2pm and 7pm on 23 October.

A number of items of jewellery were stolen along with a dark grey jewellery box. The items of jewellery include a gold necklace in an Indian design with green stones, a gold engagement ring with three diamonds, two pearl necklaces, a gold wedding ring and a handmade silver acorn necklace.

PC Chris Hopkin said: “We would really like to return these items to the couple and would be really keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on this date, or anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of these items, in particular, the silver acorn which is very unique as it is handmade.

“We would continue to urge residents to be mindful of their home security and report anything suspicious in their neighbourhood to 101, or 999 if a crime is in progress.”
