Record Deletion Process

The national process for managing requests for the removal of records from national systems (IDENT1, NDNAD and PNC), was introduced to the Police Service in England & Wales in June 2015 and applications for record deletions are now managed under the 'Record Deletion Process' (RDP).

The RDP replaces both the ' Exceptional Case Procedure' and 'Early Deletion Process' and will be managed by the National Records Deletion Unit (RDU) at ACRO.  Relevant details including FAQ and an electronic version of the application form can be found on the ACRO website:
