Wiltshire Police are appealing for assistance in identifying the two men pictured in connection with an assault at the Tesco's store on County Way, Trowbridge, on Saturday 22nd August 2009.

At approximately 5pm, a 51 year old man was outside the store when he was approached by two young men. One of the men pushed the man into a nearby hedge while the other punched him several times causing him to fall to the ground. The two men than ran off in the direction of West Ashton Road.

The first man is described as white with short brown hair. He was wearing jeans and a red Manchester United football shirt with a number 9 on the back.

The second man is described as white and was wearing a white hoody.

PC Simon Bettles said:

"This appears to be an unprovoked attack and I am keen to speak to anyone who may have information on the identity of the men pictured or anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious."
