About me: I have been a police officer since 1987 when I joined Devon and Cornwall, I then transferred to Wiltshire Police in 1991 where I have worked within Community policing, general police duties, and the firearms department. Since 2006 I have worked as a Community Beat Officer within the neighbourhood policing team of Salisbury city centre. I now look forward to meeting and helping the residents of the Friary/Milford area. I believe that by liaising with and addressing the problems of individual areas will help to make this community a safer place for us all to live in.

The Policing Pledge, local priorities and follow up actions

PDF Document Click here to view the Policing Pledge

Consultation with the local community is at the heart of successful neighbourhood policing and it is this engagement that will determine the priorities for the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and partner agencies. As a result each NPT has identified the three main priorities* for their neighbourhood and these have been listed below along with follow up actions by the police:

  • ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR - FRIARY PLAY AREAS

The local police team wil be carrying out proactive patrols of the play areas in the coming months to discourage anti social behaviour.  It is hoped that partner agencies will be able to assist in the provision of youth activities to channel youths into constructive activities, and for contact with youths to bring to their attention the consequences of their actions.

  • THEFT - MILFORD/FRIARY

The community police team will be carrying out proactive patrolling of the area, especially in the evening period.  Other police reources will also be used to target areas, and public awareness will be raised by a poster campaign.

*A priority may be for a certain area of your NPT. The same priority in different areas will only appear once.
For more information, please contact your Community Beat Manager.
