The Policing Pledge, local priorities and follow up actions

PDF Document Click here to view the Policing Pledge

Consultation with the local community is at the heart of successful neighbourhood policing and it is this engagement that will determine the priorities for the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and partner agencies. As a result each NPT has identified the three main priorities* for their neighbourhood and these have been listed below along with follow up actions by the police:

  • PARKING/OBSTRUCTION - MULTIPLE LOCATIONS

Police will carry out patrols at relevant times and deal with offending vehicles and drivers as appropriate. Council wardens will be informed. Police will liaise with the schools, shops and clubs as necessary.

  • ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR - WILTSHIRE COLLEGE

Police will carry out patrols at the relevant times and deal with incidents and youths as appropriate. Liaison with the college will take place.

  • TRAFFIC RELATED - SMALLBROOK ROAD

Police will carry out patrols and deal with offending drivers as appropriate.

*A priority may be for a certain area of your NPT. The same priority in different areas will only appear once.
For more information, please contact your Community Beat Manager.
