The Policing Pledge, local priorities and follow up actions

PDF Document Click here to view the Policing Pledge

Consultation with the local community is at the heart of successful neighbourhood policing and it is this engagement that will determine the priorities for the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and partner agencies. As a result each NPT has identified the three main priorities* for their neighbourhood and these have been listed below along with follow up actions by the police:

  • CRIMINAL DAMAGE - KING GEORGE PLAYING FIELD

Beanacre Cricket Club, Melksham Canoe Club and the NPT have presented documents outlining the key issues to Melksham Town Council & Wiltshire Council, who now have actions to under take, working together with Melksham Area Board, to improve lighting, consider CCTV installation, mend or remove damaged property and liaise with youth services.  The NPT continue to patrol the area.  If you see antisocial behavuiour occurring then call Wiltshire Police on 0845 408 7000.

*A priority may be for a certain area of your NPT. The same priority in different areas will only appear once.
For more information, please contact your Community Beat Manager.
