A Police Enquiry Desk has been set up at Swindon Borough Council's One Stop Shop at Wat Tyler House on Beckhampton Street to increase public access to police services in the town centre.

Fully trained Police Enquiry Officers running the desk are able to direct people to local services, take reports of crimes and road traffic collisions, deal with vehicle document checks including Fixed Penalty Notices and issue police application forms.

They are also able to make appointments for visitors to speak to their neighbourhood officers as well as receive and record lost and found property.

Some services such as dealing with people reporting on bail and collecting property seized by police in investigations will still need to be dealt with at Police Enquiry Offices at Gablecross in Swindon, Melksham, Marlborough, Trowbridge, Chippenham and Salisbury.

The Police Enquiry Desk is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8am - 6pm, on Thursdays from 8am - 8pm and Saturdays from 9am - 1pm.

The One Stop Shop at Swindon Borough Council deals with enquiries and gives advice on a wide range of issues including housing and homelessness, benefits, Council Tax, parking penalties and concessionary travel. Between 15,000 and 17,000 people visit the One Stop Shop in a typical month.
