Priorities and follow up actions

Consultation with the local community is at the heart of successful neighbourhood policing and it is this engagement that will determine the priorities for the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and partner agencies. As a result each NPT has identified the three or more main priorities* for their neighbourhood and these have been listed below along with follow up actions by the police:

Show/HideCriminal Damage (The Hollows, Waterditchampton, Wishford Road and West Street Wilton)
    Priority details
    06/01/2012 - 06/07/2012
Criminal damage caused during the hours of darkness to residents property

    Activities in your area

    • There have been 29 patrols in your area in relation to this priority
    • There has been 1 initiative in relation to this priority

Outcomes from the activities in your area

    • There have been 9 advise/engage
    • There have been 21 cases of reassurance
Show/HidePolice Visibility/Reassurance (As the Wilton Rural area is so vast it would be impossible to deal with it as a whole. We will therefore concentrate on specific areas starting with Compton Chamberlayne and Burcombe.)
    Priority details
    24/05/2012 - 24/08/2012
It has become apparent that the new 101 contact number is still not well known across the area. As it is an excellent way of reporting non urgent matters and suspicious incidents we believe that it is very much under used.

    Activities in your area

    • There have been 3 initiatives in relation to this priority

Outcomes from the activities in your area

    • There have been 2 advise/engage
    • There has been 1 case of reassurance
Show/HideDrugs (Wilton Town - specifically Randall's Croft Estate)
    Priority details
    05/07/2012 - 05/10/2012
Possession and supply of controlled substances within the community.

*A priority may be for a certain area of your NPT. The same priority in different areas will only appear once.
For more information, please contact your Community Beat Manager.
