Priorities and follow up actions

Consultation with the local community is at the heart of successful neighbourhood policing and it is this engagement that will determine the priorities for the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and partner agencies. As a result each NPT has identified the three or more main priorities* for their neighbourhood and these have been listed below along with follow up actions by the police:

    The NTG have stated that there is a problem with vehicles where it is perceived that they are travelling at excess speed.

    Over the recent months litter has been regularly dropped in areas along footpaths causing the area to look an eyesore.

    The Community are aware that there is a national and neighbouring areas problem with rural incidents, such as shed breaks, theft of working vehicles and poaching. The Community feel that they would like dedicated patrols to deter crime and also prosecute offenders where apprioriate.
