It feels like the school term has only just started but already half term is approaching. Are you wondering what to do to occupy your children during the holiday....never fear, Splash is here!
This October Splash will be organising a variety of free activities for young people who meet certain criteria. ‘Wild Wiltshire’ projects will be coordinated by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust at three areas within the county - a great opportunity to get outdoors, explore our local reserves, build fires and much more.
The Salisbury Area Board are also supporting two projects in the Salisbury area; Mountain Biking & Archery as well as Street Cheer, which will combine urban street dance skills with the cheers, chants and stunts of cheerleading.
The Melksham Youth Development Centre will host Melksham Does Art for three days during the half term break. This inspiring art project involves renowned community artists No Added Sugar and provides the opportunity for younger people to work within the local community and create a piece of work that can be put on display and enjoyed by the public.
Splash has been operating in Wiltshire for 24 years and has a vast experience of offering safe, friendly and accessible projects for young people to engage in throughout the holidays. As a local charity, it is able to offer all Splash projects for free to children and young people aged between nine and sixteen, who meet certain criteria.
If you would like to nominate a young person (aged between nine and sixteen) or want to find out more about the criteria requirements, please call the Splash office on 01380 734106 or visit www.splash-wiltshire.org.uk |
