This is a holding area for vehicles such as ambulances, Fire tenders and heavy lifting vehicles that may be required to be brought forward to the scene. This is a task carried out by the Police as it is an everyday duty they perform in general policing.

This task is normally completed by a Constable, this involves ensuring the vehicles are correctly parked with keys and drivers available for immediate use. They also must ensure conservation of batteries by turning off lights and radios that are not being used.

It is also important that a log is kept and updated as to the vehicles at that point so the resources can be assessed at any time.
