Survivor Reception Centre

All uninjured survivors will be directed to the centre where details are collected and forwarded to a casualty bureau. This ensures a record of everybody involved is kept, so that if a member of public is enquiring to find out if a relative is involved, they will be able to find out as soon as possible without having to wait for information.

An incident is regarded as a crime scene, therefore survivors are witnesses.

In the immediate aftermath of a disaster, survivors are protected from questioning from the police, however they may contacted afterwards for further enquiries.

The survivor reception centre is staffed with the aid of voluntary organisations such as St John Ambulance, The British Red Cross, The Salvation Army and WRVS.
