As part of the Race Equality Scheme, Wiltshire Constabulary is required to set out arrangements for assessing and consulting on, the likely impact of the proposed policies on the promotion of race equality.
An impact assessment is defined as:
'The process of identifying future consequences of current or proposed action in terms of race equality, and the task of taking all possible actions to ensure that members of a different racial groups are not adversely affected in comparison to the overall population.'
